Let’s face it, it can be tough to find someone you want to spend a lot of time with, let alone someone you want to have a baby with. Nature being what it is there comes a time in many people’s lives where they feel ready to have a baby, but still haven’t found the person to do this with. So what do they do? Do they live childless? Do they settle for someone who isn’t right? As we often say, there are many paths to parenthood, and one of them is to become a single parent by choice. When we think about single parents we often think about people who were put in a tough spot. We think about divorce, abandonment, or death. But, the truth is, when it’s a personal choice to become a single parent there are no feelings of resentment, there are no feelings of loss, and there are absolutely no frustrating custody battles.
In these videos, you will join Dr. Georgia Witkin, Head of Patient Services, at Progyny as she discusses with two single mothers by choice their experiences with fertility treatments, friends and family, and all of the challenges and rewards that they faced along the way.
