Top 17 Fertility Favorite Podcasts

As many of us know from experience, people don’t openly talk about infertility enough. It takes independent research and sifting through the internet to find basic answers to health questions that may or may not be the same as your experience. And throughout the innumerable doctor’s appointments and negative pregnancy tests, infertility can be a very isolating journey, not helped by societal expectations to have children. This is why Progyny started its podcast, This Is Infertility. We wanted to create a space for people to learn about the different phases of infertility and discuss various paths to having a child. Talking through difficult situations and listening to other people’s stories can be a really great way to find solutions and relieve some of your own stress to know that there is hope for any situation.

While we take immense pride in our work for shedding light on some tough topics, we wanted to celebrate some of the wonderful fertility podcasts out there who are making an impact alongside us. These discussions are continuing to open the dialogue, create a community, and build an inclusive environment for the toughest people we know, the infertility community.

Here are our 17 fertility favorite podcasts (in no particular order):

  1. Infertile AF
    • Host: Alison (Ali) Prato – Journalist and Creator, co-founder of Fertility Rally
    • About: “In this unfiltered podcast about infertility, Brooklyn-based journalist and mom-of-two Ali Prato, who went through IVF herself, talks to women—and some men—about the messy, frustrating, painful, heartbreaking, absurd and sometimes hilarious journey to have a baby. Or in some cases, to not have a baby. Each episode tells a different story, getting real about miscarriages, egg freezing, sperm donors, adoption, infertility depression, secondary infertility, surrogacy, endometriosis, IUIs, acupuncture, nutrition, relationship drama, embryonic genetic testing, money issues, that crazy jealousy you feel when you see someone else with a baby bump, and so much more. We’ll cover the happy endings, the soul-crushingly sad ones, and the ones still in limbo.”
    • Ali is also co-founder of Fertility Rally (alongside Blair Nelson, see #2), a membership program that provides access to a supportive community, special events, fertility resources, and more.
