Our Solution

Progyny was founded by clinical experts and former patients in the fertility industry.
Employers can trust that our all-inclusive benefit will support and deliver the best possible outcomes for their company and employees.

Standard benefit plans usually require patients to begin treatment by pursuing options with a lower cost and a lower chance of success. This typically results in multiple failures and it can waste most of a member’s financial benefit.

Progyny’s fertility benefit is different because it moves away from cost and focuses on value and the best technologies to deliver the best outcomes. We reduce the excessive twinning rate and associated prenatal costs that is often a byproduct of infertility treatment. That’s why we cover the most effective treatments without any pre-certification requirements or treatment mandates.

The difference with Progyny

SAME SEX COUPLES & LGBTQ MEMBERS

Our IVF treatments are available to same sex individuals and couples, and our program can include adoption and surrogacy education and coordination and we can administer a reimbursement program for employers interested in providing a post-tax family building benefit.

WE FAST TRACK PATIENTS TO IVF

While we support artificial insemination, there aren’t any requirements in order to proceed with IVF.

BUNDLED OR PRE-AUTHORIZATION COVERAGE

We cover everything, from the initial consultation through the completion of treatment.

FERTILITY PRESERVATION

Women who aren’t ready to have a child now, but know it’s in their future, can access Progyny’s egg freezing benefit. In fact, egg freezing is covered by 5% of all large employers and growing rapidly (11% of employers offer it in the Northeast) 1

Personalized support & guidance

The fertility journey is complicated, opaque and most of all confusing. It is also physically and emotionally draining. This is why Progyny has a dedicated patient care advocate for each employee to guide him/her through every step and to provide emotional support and empathy.

The patient care advocate engages with the employee pre, during, and post treatment and during the first few months of pregnancy. Our patient care advocates include fertility nurses who are here to answer any clinical and benefits questions a member may have, guide the member through treatment, or even find the right in-network doctor.

You have our commitment to each one of your employees.

Patient experience

Our member interactions occur during the entire course of a women’s treatment and continue through childbirth.

Dedication to technology

Progyny is dedicated to improving the clinical outcomes of fertility treatments (IVF success rates and singleton birth rates), which means providing access to the latest and best technologies.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

This technique for IVF increases fertilization success by injecting the sperm directly into the egg.

Pre-implantation Genetic Screening (PGS)

This test is designed to test embryos for viability
and chromosomal normality and allows the reproductive endocrinologist to implant the most viable embryo. PGS promotes a single embryo transfer which ultimately helps with reducing the rate of twins/multiples.

Assisted
Hatching
(AH)

A newer lab technique performed by the embryologist to enhance embryo implantation.

Vitrification
(VIT)

We enable our members to access the most advanced cryopreservation technology available.
Vitrification is an ultra-rapid process that prohibits the formation of ice crystals and uses new cryoprotectants, which protect tissue from freezing damage.
